Meeting Travel Awards


The training of the next generation of pain researchers in Quebec is a core value of the Pain Network. In pursuit of this value, the Pain Network is building an integrated transdisciplinary training program that will expose trainees to a broad array of academic disciplines, research methodologies and the latest technical equipment available.



Competition #1

  • Travel awards max $1000
  • Deadline:  February 28, 2018
  • Eligibility: March 1st to July 31st 2018

Competition #2

  • Travel awards max $1000
  • Deadline:  April 30, 2018
  • Eligibility: August 1st 2018 to January 31st 2019

***EXCEPTIONALLY for the IASP meeting in September 2018, the same student is eligible for the two (2) competitions if the application for competition #2 concerns the IASP meeting***

New Eligibility Criteria for Travel Awards

The QNJPI team recently partnered with the Association Québécoise de la douleur chronique (AQDC) and the Quebec Pain Research Network (QPRN) to promote the scientific knowledge transfer to patients suffering from chronic pain in Quebec. Thus, doctoral and post-doctoral students who obtain a travel grant could be selected by the QNJPI to make an oral presentation of the popularized type in one of the AQDC’s self-help groups. Selected students will be required to take a training course offered by the QNJPI before their oral presentation.
